Account & Data Deletion Policy

To prevent unauthorized account tampering or third-party misuse, deletion requests undergo strict identity verification. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Method 1: Direct In-App Deletion (Instant & Automated)

The primary and fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the Clannerly app (iOS, Android, or Web):

1. Open the Clannerly App and log into your account.
2. Navigate to Settings $\rightarrow$ Account & Security.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. For security, re-authenticate using your password or OAuth provider (Google / Apple Sign-In).
5. Confirm deletion. Your account will be immediately deleted from our production servers.

Method 2: Web & Email Deletion Request (Manual Verification)

If you have uninstalled the app or lost device access, you can submit a manual deletion request:

• Send an email to: kevinvdwelle1@gmail.com
• Subject line: Account Deletion Request - Clannerly
• Strict Requirement: The request must be sent from the exact email address associated with your Clannerly account. Requests from third-party or unverified email addresses will be rejected to protect user account security.

Manual requests are verified and processed within 48 hours.

Purged Data Scope

Upon account deletion, the following personal data is permanently destroyed:

• Authentication Record: Firebase Auth credentials, UID, and auth tokens.
• User Profile: Full Name, Email Address, Profile Avatar URL, and custom preferences.
• Group Data: Memberships in clubs, event RSVPs, potluck item assignments, and dietary tags.
• OAuth Tokens: Stored calendar sync access tokens (Google Calendar / Outlook Calendar).

Data Retention & System Backups

Active production records are deleted instantly. Encrypted cloud backup snapshots are automatically overwritten and scrubbed within a maximum of 30 days. No user personal data is retained for marketing or analytical purposes post-deletion.
